1 April 2015, Singapore – Paper airplane enthusiasts from all over Singapore gathered at the T-Junction of Singapore Management University this afternoon, for aerial combat of the peaceful variety at the Singapore National Finals of Red Bull Paper Wings 2015. Up for grabs were three spots to head to Salzburg’s famous Hangar-7 in Austria for winners of these three disciplines: Longest Airtime, Longest Distance and Aerobatics.
Following an afternoon of intense folding, flinging and flying, victory went to three high flyers: Tok Sin Joo for Longest Airtime (4.4 secs), Ronnie Soh for Longest Distance (13.05metres) and Sean Teo for Aerobatics.
The three winners from Singapore will now join paper plane competitors from over 60 other countries around the globe, to be invited to the cavernous halls of Hangar-7 to battle it out at the Red Bull Paper Wings World Finals on 8-9 May 2015!
