Santa Monica, CA (USA) – 12 AMERICANS TO TRAVEL TO GLOBAL RED BULL PAPER WINGS COMPETITION IN AUSTRIA!
Across the U.S., 63 qualifying events invited designers, innovators and aviators to compete for a spot to travel to Salzburg, Austria this May to compete against hundreds of international pilots (ahem, paper plane pilots) with their eye on one prize: global winner of Red Bull Paper Wings. Out of those 63 events, 12 students prevailed and earned a coveted spot competing on a global scale representing their school and country.
Disciplines included in-flight aerobatics, airtime and distance.
The Americans who will represent the US in Austria include:

Tens of thousands of self-trained pilots will put their extraordinary skills to the tests in more than 80 countries on four continents for one of the world’s most international events and the top paper plane contest. All in the name of earning bragging rights and the esteemed title of Red Bull Paper Plane World Champion.
Winners from the U.S. qualifying events will travel to Austria in May where the Red Bull Paper Wings competition will be hosted at the iconic Hangar-7, home of the acrobatic Flying Bulls.
